There are twenty-seven (27) employees in the Special Services Division, twelve (12) deputies, eight (8) part-time deputies/reserves, and seven (7) civilians. A Captain directs the Division. The Transport Unit coordinates all transports and extraditions to and from our detention facility to the local courts, other jurisdictions and in from other states. The Special Services Division is responsible for: the security of La Plata County Courts; Teaching Responsibility And Choices to Kids (T.R.A.C.K); the School Resource Officer; Civil Process; Administration functions; Inventory tracking; Criminal Analyst; Victim Services; Reserve Deputy Bureau; and Training Coordinator.
