The La Plata County School Resource Officer Program Mission Statement

The School Resource Officer will provide leadership in teaching safety to students, teachers, and parents. The SRO program will continue to foster positive relations between law enforcement and our community. This will build a better relationship between young people and the law enforcement community.  The School Resource Officer will also work with our county schools to keep them as safe as possible.

Fire Safety, Drug Awareness, Life Choices, Bike Safety, Gun Safety, Dog Safety, Halloween Safety, Red Ribbon Week talks, and the TRACK Program.
