Criminal Investigations Unit
The Criminal Investigations Unit is comprised of a Lieutenant, seven (7) Investigators and an Administrative Assistant. They are responsible for the investigation of crimes against persons and property. They carry a caseload and manage criminal cases received from both the Patrol Division and those assigned by the Investigations Lieutenant. They respond to calls for assistance by patrol, jail and the administration for various investigative needs involving anything from criminal matters to internal matters. They write arrest and search warrants, and prepare criminal cases for prosecution. They are available to assist other fire and law enforcement agencies with the investigation of criminal activity.
The eight (8) Investigators assigned to the Criminal Investigations unit comprise a total time of 148 years in Law Enforcement with a total of 66 years experience in the Criminal Investigations Unit.
